Spring has sprung in our neck of the woods, bringing with it the green flush of budbreak across the vineyards and the inescapable urge to shift towards outside living. At Diemersfontein Wine Estate, September is a celebration of new life in the soil and traditional South African hospitality.

We kick off the month's festivities early with the Môreskyn Fees on 5 September 2026, followed immediately by our lively Diemersfontein Country Market on 6 September. These early spring gatherings offer the perfect excuse to gather your favourite people, enjoy live local entertainment, and stock up on handcrafted goods while sipping a chilled glass of wine or enjoying a meal at one of our two restaurants.

As the vines wake up, our braai tongs get their first real workout of the season in anticipation of Heritage Day, or "Braai Day" as it's become known, on 24 September. Firewood is stacked high, and the estate is ready for long, lazy days into balmy spring evenings. We are also giving you an extra reason to raise a glass a bit earlier in the month for Grenache Day on 18 September. Our crisp, fruit-forward Diemersfontein Rosé takes centre stage, made from 100% Grenache Noir, with an exclusive 10% discount per case for the entire month, offering the ultimate companion for a sunny al fresco afternoon.
