This month, we’re especially proud to celebrate a remarkable collection of accolades for our wines here at Flagstone Wines – from older vintages showing their incredible ageing potential to current releases earning recognition on both the local and international stage.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights from the month:
Three Flagstone wines – the Truth Tree Pinotage 2015 and Writer’s Block Pinotage 2011 and 2012 – were among just 20 wines to receive a 2026 Absa Vintage Pinotage Award of Excellence, following an assessment by a panel of Cape Wine Masters.
The awards celebrate Pinotage wines that have developed beautifully in bottle and showcase the impressive ageing potential of South Africa’s signature cultivar. To see three Flagstone vintages recognised is a proud reminder that great wines continue to tell their story long after the vintage has passed.
Our 2025 Flagstone Treaty Tree Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon White Blend has been named the National Winner for Wooded White Cultivar Blend at the 2026 SA Terroir Wine Awards. This recognition celebrates wines that best express the unique character of their origin, making it another special achievement for Treaty Tree and a wine that continues to make its mark.
On the international stage, our Flagstone Paradigm Chenin Blanc 2024 received a Master medal at the Global Chenin Blanc Masters – the highest distinction awarded in the competition.
Only four wines from around the world achieved Master status this year, placing Paradigm 2024 among an exceptional group of Chenin Blancs. It’s a significant achievement for Flagstone and a proud moment for head winemaker Gerhard Swart and everyone involved in bringing this remarkable wine to life.
New vintages have arrived
Fresh vintages of three Poetry favourites are now available. Discover the Poetry Sauvignon Blanc 2026, Poetry Chenin Blanc 2026 and Poetry Cabernet Sauvignon 2025 – the latest additions to the Poetry range, ready to be enjoyed.

Upcoming events at Flagstone
Five wines. Five chapters. One extraordinary life.
This October, Flagstone Wines welcomes UNCORKED UNPLUGGED – an intimate evening where wine, live music and storytelling come together. Internationally acclaimed performer Aaron Reeder takes guests through five chapters of the extraordinary life of Sammy Davis Jr., with each chapter thoughtfully paired with a Flagstone wine.
Join us on Friday, 2 October 2026 for this one-night-only experience. Guests are welcome to arrive from 17h30 and enjoy a welcome glass of wine, with an optional selection of small plates prepared by Flour’ed Catering available to purchase separately.
