This year’s event is a collaboration with HER Wine Collection, a majority black, all-female team based at Schoon Organic Vineyard and Cellar in Paarl. Their wines are paired with a four-course dinner by the talented Chef Lorna Vitshima at the hotel's fire-themed ROOI restaurant. Ladies Only: Celebrating Women, Wine and Friendship at Hasher Family Wines
Magic happens when women come together. In honour of Women’s Day, four women in wine from the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley – Nathalia from Storm Wines, Anne from Restless River, Nadia from Newton-Johnson, and Céline from Hasher – are hosting a ladies-only food and wine evening on Hasher Family Estate. Expect a curated wine tasting, a long table dinner by the talented Tullishe Le Roux, and plenty of dancing. All proceeds from the evening go to Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse, an organisation supporting vulnerable women in the Hermanus community.

In August, The Jordan Restaurant’s winemaker’s dinner honours a remarkable woman in wine: Catherine Marshall. Take Four Piano Quartet at Vergenoegd Löw
This Women’s Month, Vergenoegd Löw welcomes the acclaimed Take Four Piano Quartet for an intimate evening of chamber music, wine, and dinner on the estate. The group includes four of South Africa’s celebrated classical musicians – Zanta Hofmeyr on violin, Jeanne-Louise Moolman on viola, Susan Mouton on cello, and Elna van der Merwe on piano. Guests can look forward to a moving programme featuring music by Brahms and Schumann in the estate’s intimate chapel. Afterwards, guests will move to Clara’s Barn for a three-course dinner shared at long communal tables, in keeping with the estate’s tradition of warm hospitality.

Women's Day Wine Walk at Muratie Wine Estate
