Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch (AWSS) will celebrate its 70th anniversary with a special 70th birthday Fundraising Dinner and Auction on Friday, 24 July 2026, in Stellenbosch, at the beautiful Landtscap in Devonvale.
The fundraising evening will commemorate seven decades of protecting and caring for vulnerable animals across Stellenbosch and surrounding communities, while raising vital funds for AWSS’s Kennel Improvements for a Better Tomorrow project.
Funds raised through the event will contribute to upgrading AWSS dog enclosures with improved weather protection to ensure greater comfort, safety, and well-being for animals in every season.
As a cornerstone of the Stellenbosch community, the wine industry has always played an important role in supporting local initiatives. AWSS would be most grateful if wineries would consider contributing to the success of the evening by donating:
- Wines to be served during the event
- Magnum bottles or limited-release wines as auction prizes
- Vertical collections or library vintages
- Exclusive wine experiences, tastings or cellar tours
- Any other unique wine-related prize that would inspire generous bidding
Every donation, whether a bottle of wine or an unforgettable experience, helps AWSS raise vital funds to improve the lives of the thousands of animals that come through their doors each year.
