Join us on July 2026 for "Family Reserve Through Time: A Music and Vintage Journey" – an exclusive, one-night-only experience where acclaimed solo artist Karel Bester, the Kleine Zalze winemaking team, and executive chef Nic van Wyk come together to celebrate the artistry of music, the evolution of exceptional wines and the craftsmanship behind every perfectly paired course.
Journey through five iconic musical eras as each live performance sets the stage for the next chapter of the evening. Every song introduces a flagship Family Reserve vintage, thoughtfully presented by the winemaker behind the wine, before a beautifully curated course arrives, expertly paired to showcase its character, complexity and sense of place.
From a welcoming glass of Vintage Brut 2024 on arrival, through each chapter of our Family Reserve collection – Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Chenin Blanc 2022, Chardonnay 2025 and Shiraz 2012 – to the final pour of the distinguished Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, every moment has been carefully orchestrated to immerse you in the stories behind our flagship wines. Discover how time shapes each vintage, how music evokes the memories of an era, and how perfectly paired cuisine elevates every glass.
As part of this exclusive experience, guests will have the rare opportunity to taste selected Family Reserve library vintages no longer available to the public. For one evening only, a limited allocation will be available for purchase following the dinner, while stocks last.

2024 Vintage Brut: A sparkling welcome
2021 Family Reserve Sauvignon Blanc: Poached prawns served with brown butter and caper aioli, topped with toasted herb breadcrumbs, fresh lemon zest and delicate hibiscus leaves. Presented by cellarmaster RJ Botha and Chef Nic van Wyk.
2022 Family Reserve Chenin Blanc: Wild mushroom and baby spinach cannelloni, served with roasted garlic, bone marrow and smoked salt mushroom jus. Presented by winemaker Hanri Ferreira and Chef Nic van Wyk.
2025 Family Reserve Chardonnay: Poached kingklip with celeriac velouté, Jerusalem artichoke and braised onion compote. Presented by winemaker Carla van Wyk and Chef Nic van Wyk.
2012 Family Reserve Shiraz: Deboned, rolled, braised and grilled lamb rib with apricot glaze, lemon and white pepper jus, steamed baby cabbage and buttered pearl barley. Presented by marketing manager Gemma Laubscher and Chef Nic van Wyk.
2015 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon: Hachis Parmentier of slow-braised wagyu short rib with soft winter vegetables, topped with creamy buttery mashed potatoes and a blend of aged goat's cheese and pecorino, baked until golden brown. Presented by winemaker Natalie Botha and Chef Nic van Wyk.
Sweet finale: Sweet treats, served with a warm beverage of your choice.
