With a legacy spanning more than 50 years, Nederburg Baronne has long been one of South Africa’s most recognisable red blends. The latest vintage now adds new accolades to its story, earning recognition across leading wine competitions:
- Top 10 (95 points) – Prescient Winemag Signature Red Blend Report; A benchmark for South Africa’s leading red blends, recognising quality and style
- Silver medal (91 points) – Investec Trophy Wine Show; One of the country’s most respected wine competitions, judged blind by international experts.
- Gold medal – Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge; An internationally recognised authority assessing wines for global appeal and technical excellence.
But beyond the awards, Baronne remains what it has always been: a wine made for connection, shared moments, and everyday discovery.
Originally crafted in 1973, Baronne has become synonymous with approachable, quality red wine – trusted, familiar, and always inviting. Today, under the guidance of winemaker Zinaschke Steyn, that legacy continues with a focus on consistency, balance and accessibility.
Sourced from vineyards across the Western Cape, the 2024 vintage brings together Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, shaped by varied soils and microclimates that add both depth and complexity to the blend.
In the glass, it offers inviting dark berry flavours, subtle spice, and a smooth, well-balanced finish – crafted for effortless enjoyment and versatility at the table.
A place at the table
Baronne has always been more than just a wine. It’s about the moments it brings together – whether it’s a casual midweek dinner, a weekend braai, or a table shared with friends and family.
There’s a table waiting. And Baronne is already there.
With Baronne 2024, Nederburg continues to honour its heritage while inviting a new generation of wine lovers to explore, taste, and make it their own.
Because every great wine experience starts with an open invitation.
This one is yours.
