Nederburg is proud to announce that its The Winemasters Pinotage 2024 has been awarded a Gold Medal at the Global Asia Wine Masters 2026, organized by The Drinks Business. This competition is one of Asia’s most respected wine awards, judged by expert panels of Masters of Wine and senior sommeliers, ensuring impartiality and excellence in blind tastings.
Crafted by winemaker Zinaschke Steyn, this Pinotage showcases vibrant cherry and blackberry flavours with a touch of sweet oak spice, leading to a juicy, lingering finish. Grapes were sourced from top-performing vineyards across the Western Cape, grown in granite, sandstone, and shale soils, and matured for 12–15 months in French and American oak.
“This award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to winemaking excellence,” said Steyn. “We are delighted that our Pinotage has resonated with the Asian market, where appreciation for structured, fruit-forward wines continues to grow.”
