#wineforgood: Fynbos at Stellenzicht

Stellenzicht
Stellenzicht is surrounded by fynbos, indigenous vegetation that play a vital role in preserving biodiversity on the farm.

Stellenzicht Vineyards is surrounded by indigenous fynbos, a natural landscape that thrives in the Helderberg foothills. Nectar-loving birds move between the blooms, dragonflies skim the air, and new growth settles into the landscape. These hardy plants are more than a backdrop. They play a vital role in maintaining healthy soils, supporting insects and birds, and preserving the region’s biodiversity.

The presence of fynbos also reflects the careful balance we maintain between nature and winemaking. Its roots, leaves, and flowers contribute to the ecological health of the estate, which in turn influences the character and clarity of our wines.

At Stellenzicht, every decision, from vineyard management to harvest, is informed by this living ecosystem. Here, sustainability is tangible, and the elegance of our wines is inseparable from the vitality of the land that nurtures them.
