Vergelegen Easter Egg Hunt
Celebrate Easter Sunday with a special morning for little ones at Vergelegen. Our much-loved Easter Egg Hunt returns on Sunday, 5 April 2026, and tickets are now available.
The hunt begins promptly at 09h00 in the beautiful Octagonal Garden, established more than 300 years ago. With ancient trees and colourful seasonal plantings, the garden offers the perfect setting – and plenty of secret hiding places – for delicious Easter treats.
The cost is R425 per child, which includes bunny ears, Easter egg carriers and a colourful selection of special Easter eggs for the hunt.

Harvest Sundowner Celebration
Our Harvest Sundowner event has been so popular that many guests missed out – so we’re delighted to open one more date! Join us on Thursday, 26 March 2026 at 17h00 for a relaxed evening at our hilltop Cellar, with bubbly, canapés, a harvest‑inspired feast, live music, and unforgettable sunset views. We’ve had so much fun scooping up the most delicious ice creams made from scratch by Chef Tarquin and her talented team this summer! Who remembers our limited‑edition Christmas Cake flavour from December? And have you tried the nostalgic rum & raisin, or are you a die‑hard vanilla fan? Make the most of these last balmy, sun‑soaked days and swing by our Creamery for a final taste of summer. We also serve a selection of takeaway coffees.

Update on Stables
We have been truly overwhelmed by the support from everyone following the fire that broke out at Stables on 3 March. Thank you for the heartfelt messages from neighbours, loyal local supporters, and friends from afar. We appreciate every single one.
While it will take time to restore our beloved Stables to its former glory, our team is working hard behind the scenes to create something special. From mid‑April, we look forward to once again welcoming more guests to Vergelegen to enjoy delicious food and wine prepared by our dedicated Stables team – a vital step to ensure our wonderful staff are taken care of during this time.
We are deeply grateful to the incredible firefighters whose swift action contained the fire in time. Thankfully, although devastating, the damage was limited to Stables only, and the rest of the estate remains open and ready to welcome you.
In the meantime, enjoy the following at Vergelegen:
