A warm and notably dry growing season brought the vineyards to ripeness earlier than usual, yet the fruit delivered remarkable purity, concentration and balance.
Soon after, the Estate Chardonnay followed. Selected parcels were allocated to Thunderstone and Acheulean Chardonnay, each reflecting the distinctive character of the Stellenzicht vineyards. The quality of the Chardonnay this season has been exceptional, defined by small, compact bunches and intensely flavoured berries that promise depth and precision in the wines to come.
As the season progressed, attention shifted to Cinsault. The vineyards once again yielded fruit of impressive intensity and structure, expressing both site and season. Timely rainfall after the extended dry conditions brought welcome relief to the vines and gently slowed the pace of harvest, creating a natural pause before the arrival of Cabernet Sauvignon, a moment the cellar team awaited with great anticipation.
With harvest now nearing completion, the final weeks of the season are approaching. The fruit entering the cellar continues to show outstanding quality, while the first aromatics rising from fermentation already hint at the character of the vintage taking shape.
