Nominations for WineLand’s 30 Under 30 are now open. Do you or someone you know fit the bill? Nominate the rising stars of South Africa’s wine sector today to give them a chance to be featured in our June 2026 issue.
This edition is dedicated every year to celebrating young talent from all along the wine value chain, from soil scientists, viticulturists, and winemakers, to sommeliers, marketers, researchers, and brand ambassadors.

The 30 Under 30 celebrates these rising talents shaping our future. ROTOCON once again reaffirmed its commitment to youth development by sponsoring the initiative for the sixth consecutive year, with auric barrels as the co-sponsor since last year. ROTOCON considers the annual 30 Under 30 Awards a valuable investment in the young leaders of tomorrow. “WineLand Media’s 30 Under 30 Awards celebrate the passion and dedication of young wine enthusiasts who are leading the South African wine industry into the future,” says Michael Aengenvoort, Group Chief Executive Officer.
Each year also brings new anticipation of the annual Luminary Award, which will recognise one exceptional individual among the 30 candidates whose impact and achievements stand out as an inspiration among their peers.
CRITERIA:
- Must be 30 years or younger (born in 1996 or later)
- Active in the South African wine industry and/or value chain
- Must make a positive contribution to or have an impact on the wine industry
- Be innovative and passionate
- Add value to the wine industry
- Should be available for an interview.
