From blending your own wine in a working cellar and tasting under the stars, to relaxed breakfasts, seasonal dining at The Tangram and sparkling summer savings, there’s every reason to visit, linger a little longer and make the most of this vibrant time of year.
Recognised amongst the world’s best
Our white winemaker, Kobus Gerber, has been ranked as one of the top 100 winemakers in the world by leading international magazine, The Drinks Business.
Cool ocean breezes and lingering morning mists stretch out our ripening season, allowing the fruit to develop depth and character at its own pace. Guided by Kobus’ skill and unwavering dedication, these condit conditions give rise to our cool-climate wines defined by elegance, layered flavour and a lingering sense of place in every glass.
Come blend your own wine!
It’s harvest time at Durbanville Hills, and from 18 February to 14 March 2026 (selected Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays), guests are invited to step into the heart of a working cellar for an immersive vine-to-wine experience.
Welcomed with a glass of Cap Classique, visitors explore the rhythm of harvest alongside the winemaking team, taste fresh must mid-transformation, and craft their own personalised red blend to bottle and take home. The journey ends at The Tangram with a two-course, wine-paired meal. Cost is R550 per person.

Welcoming Janeke Schroeder to our cellar
Janeke Schroeder joins our cellar as assistant winemaker. A CPUT Wellington graduate in Viticulture and Oenology, she completed her practical year at Diemersdal Wine Estate, where she rose from assistant winemaker to winemaker, specialising in white wines and MCC, before expanding her experience with bulk white and rosé production at Leeuwenkuil Family Vineyards. A lover of great wine, good music and a proper cheese board, Janeke feels most at home by the ocean and is embracing the energy and fresh challenges of harvest with the Durbanville Hills team.
Tasting Under the Stars
Join us for an exclusive after-hours tasting under the stars on 12 March from 18:00 to 21:00 (last rounds and kitchen close at 20:00).
