Taylor Swift-endorsed Sancerre sells out amid 'Champagne problems'

A glimpse of a French Sauvignon Blanc in the Disney+ documentary “The End of an Era” leads Swifties to run to the wine store.

It's no mystery that the wine industry has faced some trying times as of late, but if we’ve learned anything over the past few years, good things just “never go out of style”. And if you need to make something cool again, send in the Swifties.

A bottle of Domaine de Terres Blanches Sancerre was briefly, and I mean briefly, seen on a mixing table during the six-episode documentary series, “The End of an Era”, streaming now on Disney+. But that quick glimpse was enough to send Swifties spiraling to get a taste of what Taylor sips.

The wine, which fans are calling Taylor’s Choice, retails for $40 and has rapidly become a top seller at Total Wine. Stocks sold out, and Google searches for Sancerre surged, in just the latest example of Swiftonimics: the ability for the 36-year-old billionaire to affect the economy through endorsements and business decisions.
