As the new page of the calendar and the first full weeks of the year settle in, Diemersfontein welcome 2026 with optimism, energy, and a clear sense of purpose.

At the moment, the vineyards are setting the pace for what lies ahead...

Harvest is approaching with that familiar mix of anticipation, excitement, and focus, while the entire farm is abuzz in preparation. The coming weeks will see us moving steadily closer to one of our most important seasons, and we look forward to sharing it with you. Our Harvest Festival Events, as hosted for the past two years, are again on the horizon, with the dates to be confirmed and announced soon. You will have the opportunity to get a glimpse beyond the Tasting Room by seeing and experiencing the inner orchestrations of creating our wines, amidst the electric atmosphere that only harvest can deliver.

Elsewhere on the farm, change continues in thoughtful and deliberate ways. The guest rooms at the Diemersfontein Guesthouse are currently being upgraded to ensure that every stay reflects the comfort, warmth, and attention to detail our visitors have come to expect. Besides the upgrades, a number of additional rooms will also be added to the offering to meet the growing demand for overnight facilities on the estate. We look forward to welcoming guests into these renewed spaces with a sense of refreshed familiarity once fully complete.

As you’ve come to know, we love hosting live music events in partnership with Heroes Live at Diemersfontein. January sees a very big concert to the farm... Steve Hofmeyr takes the stage at Diemersfontein on Saturday the 24th of January, promising an evening of well-loved songs, shared memories, and an audience that knows every word.

Tickets, at R250 per person, are available at iTickets. Holders of tickets to the IKOON Concert can email the platform from where their original tickets were purchased and they will then receive further instructions to exchange those tickets for this performance, but this has to be done to gain access to the concert on the 24th.

Concert nights have a way of turning into stories that are retold for years; this one is no exception!

In between all of this, there is still time to pause and pour a glass... Our Diemersfontein Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is on special this month; crisp, vibrant, and perfectly suited to warm days and long evenings. It has proven itself a dependable favourite, and January feels like exactly the right moment to enjoy it.
