2025 marks a milestone year for Quoin Rock and Knorhoek, with the combined portfolio earning top tier recognition across the world’s most respected wine competitions. Judged by international panels and benchmark tastings, the wines achieved an exceptional run of medals alongside rare honours reserved for the very best in show.
At the pinnacle of the year’s results stands the Knorhoek Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, which achieved an outstanding 97 points and Best in Show at the Decanter World Wine Awards. This accolade places the wine among the finest judged globally in 2025, confirming Knorhoek Cabernet as a reference point for South African excellence and casting Stellenbosch in an exceptional light as a producer competing confidently alongside some of the world’s most renowned wine regions and internationally acclaimed brands. Equally significant was the success of Quoin Rock Shiraz 2019, awarded a Grand Gold and Trophy at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Trophy awards at this level are conferred on wines that demonstrate exceptional character, structure and distinction, marking the Shiraz as one of the standout red wines of the competition.

Beyond these headline achievements, the combined Quoin Rock and Knorhoek portfolio delivered consistent excellence across categories. Cap Classique, white and red wines secured Gold medals at leading competitions including the Amorim Cap Classique Challenge, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Decanter World Wine Awards, Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards, Mundus Vini, The Global Chenin Blanc Masters and the Vitis Vinifera Wine Awards.
This performance was further reinforced by strong critical recognition, with Top 10 placements at Winemag for both brands, underlining quality, consistency and varietal expression across the range.
