We are deeply saddened to share the untimely passing of Anthony van Schalkwyk, international sales manager at Spier Wine Farm, of a heart attack on Monday, 1 September 2025. Our deepest condolences to his wife Caroline, his young son Josh, his family and friends, and the Spier team.
Anthony matriculated from Paul Roos Gimnasium in 1993. He studied at Stellenbosch University. Over the course of his career, he worked in sales at Ken Forrester Wines, Kleine Zalze, Bosman Family Vineyards, and, most recently, Spier Wine Farm. He was an avid triathlete, having completed the Ironman several times.
