The Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) is elated to introduce the newest members of its board of directors: Cindy Ross, Kachné Ross, and Yoliswa Masekwana. They were appointed on 1 March 2025.
These three women bring valuable experience, fresh energy, and a shared commitment to creating real economic opportunities for young people. Their leadership strengthens our mission as we continue unlocking potential and tackling youth unemployment.
New PYDA board members
Cindy Ross
Cindy is an admitted attorney and works as an independent consultant. She has worked for multinational companies, served on several boards, and is an experienced governance leader with a strong background in legal compliance, nonprofit management, and human rights.
Cindy is deeply committed to transformation, youth development, and the environment.
Kachné Ross
Kachné is the people and skills development manager at South Africa Wine and also serves as executive manager of the South African Wine Industry Professional Body (SAWIPB).
With experience across the wine industry value chain, she combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. Kachné is dedicated to people development and driving positive change.
Yoliswa Masekwana
Yoliswa is a proud PYDA graduate and currently works as the local sales coordinator at Aslina Wines. Before that, she worked as a content manager at wine.co.za.
She brings firsthand insight into the student experience and practical knowledge of the wine industry. Yoliswa's journey reflects PYDA's transformative impact. She is passionate about mentoring and supporting the next generation.
