Harvest report 2025

"Our 2025 harvest kicked off on 11 February with the first Pinotage arriving; this year has interestingly been the latest we have started harvesting in the 19 years I've been making wine at Beyerskloof. From then on, it was nonstop and very intense, with the last Cabernet Sauvignon grapes coming in on 17 March. We are fortunate and thankful that the average yield and overall volumes are up compared to the previous vintage, although still 9% below our long-term average.
Generous winter rainfall, favourable growth conditions, and moderate temperatures, especially the cool nights during harvest, have delivered red wines with beautiful acidity, deep colour, and firm structure. This vintage has the potential to rival 2015, if not surpass it. But as always, the proof will be in the pudding when the 2025 wines are released."

Book launch: 'Traildust in a Wine Glass'
Beyers Truter has always had a story to tell, both in the vineyards and beyond. It was an honour to celebrate the launch of Traildust in a Wine Glass (Stofpaaie in 'n Wynglas), a collection of his life’s stories written by Riaan Gerber, in late March.
As the founder of Beyerskloof, his legacy is woven into every bottle of Pinotage and now, into these pages.
