Muratie
Muratie Wine Estate shares a harvest update and upcoming events on the estate.

After a busy start to the harvest season, we have harvested all our white grapes, and we are full tilt into the reds. Winemaker Hattingh is very impressed with the quality of the developing young white wines and notes that the red grapes are also ripening evenly with well-balanced chemical analyses. He singles out the Ronnie Melck Family Selection Syrah 2025 as particularly promising at this early stage, with outstanding deep colour and intricate spice aromatics.

Rijk is off to ProWein in Düsseldorf, Germany for what will be his 25th time representing Muratie Wine Estate at this leading international wine fair. Germany is Muratie’s biggest market outside of South Africa, and it is always a pleasure to catch up with our trade partners and meet new friends during these visits. If you are visiting ProWein from 16-18 March, come and say hi to Rijk at our European distributor Mack & Schühle’s stand in Hall 4.
