With an accelerating focus on the international market in 2025, Vilafonté owner Michael Ratcliffe has appointed Vinimark to lead its export efforts. Since 1997, Vilafonté's wines have been celebrated for their complexity, structure and aging potential, with standout offerings of Series C, Series M and Seriously Old Dirt.
This exemplary producer earned the December 2024 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) ‘Outstanding Global Wine Producer’ award after scooping the same award in 2021, an unprecedented achievement. Vilafonté remains the highest scoring South African red wine ever in Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
Flagship range Kasteelberg, which is produced by the Swartland’s Riebeek Valley Wine Co, has also partnered with Vinimark for international distribution.
