Muratie
With the harvest's arrival, the Muratie cellar is abuzz with excitement and its upbeat harvest playlist.

#Harvest2025 has arrived

Our favourite time of the year has finally arrived. Dew-crisp early mornings of picking and pressing late into the night. The heavenly smell of fresh fermenting must and mosbolletjies. Unbridled joy and gratitude for another year's abundant crop: our livelihood.

After waiting patiently for a slightly late harvest to begin, we finally received our first grapes last week. The cellar is abuzz with excitement and the customary upbeat harvest playlist is putting an extra spring into everyone's step.

In the next few days, the rest of our white varieties and early ripening reds will be coming in thick and fast. We look forward to a stellar season!

Stellenbosch Harvest Parade

Our dedicated vineyard team proudly represented Muratie at the annual Stellenbosch Harvest Parade, bringing energy, passion, and a true love for winemaking to the streets.

Their enthusiasm and team spirit stood out, earning them second place for Best Spirit! A huge congratulations to our hardworking team for showcasing the heart and soul of Muratie.

Exclusive tasting room wine offer

2025 marks a momentous milestone for Muratie – 340 years since our founding in 1685, when Governor Simon van der Stel first granted the farm to German soldier Laurens Campher. The epic romance of Laurens and his beloved Ansela van de Caab has captured the imagination ever since!

Our two flagship wines are named after this pioneering couple who planted the first crops and built the first dwellings on Muratie. We are celebrating their legacy this month with a special gift pack featuring one bottle of each of our award-winning Laurens Campher and Ansela van de Caab wines for only R850. Available at the tasting room only for the whole month of February.
