Franschhoek Cellar
In the heart of the Franschhoek Valley, where vineyards lie as far as the eye can see, a legacy lingers – the memory of the majestic elephants that once roamed this land.

Taste the legacy of our long-forgotten friends

Today, on 12 August, Franschhoek Cellar commemorates World Elephant Day, raising a glass to these mysterious and magnificent beings. While they may no longer tread our Valley, their spirit lives on in our flagship wine, The Last Elephant.

The Last Elephant is powerful but elegant red blend. It has polished black fruit, silky tannins, a supple yet firm palate, and a fine finish.

Come rain or shine, you're welcome in our valley
