Winter in the winelands has a special allure – it is quiet in the vineyards and cellar, but in the Farm Kitchen we are cooking up a storm! Visitors can look forward to hearty, elegantly presented traditional dishes, including slow-cooked lamb shank, Annatjie Melck's legendary tripe and malva pudding. All prepared from the finest locally sourced ingredients. Also look out for our popular blackboard specials, which usually features the stunning seasonal produce freshly picked from our garden.

Winter events at Muratie
Retro Rouge Vintage Wine Festival
Be sure to save the date in advance for our next exciting event – the Retro Rouge Wine Festival taking place on 27 July 2024. This popular celebration of all our best-loved winter flavours will take place in the Canvas Venue at Muratie, with wine tasting stations, and traditional food favourites like vetkoek & mince, soup, samoosas, cheese platters and more. There will also be live music by Kruger and Tutu.
Tickets cost R195 per person (includes branded glass & 10 tasting tokens), and our restaurant will also be open with a limited menu, but bookings are essential.
Those looking to get some leisurely, fun exercise can book an additional ticket for our Retro Rouge Wine Walk to a scenic lookout point. Tickets available from Dirtopia: www.dirtopia.co.za. It promises to be an unforgettable day.
