Alto Rouge
Alto Rouge is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The Alto Rouge is a firm favourite among red wine drinkers known for its excellent drinkability and the fact that it can age for decades. This vintage is laced with red fruits, fynbos and hints of graphite. The palate is silky with firm tannins and is the perfect accompaniment to any occasion.
Alto Cabernet Sauvignon
With more than half of our Estate planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, the big, bold grape variety is the corner stone of our celebrated red wines. The single cultivar wine was added into our range in 1965 and is our most awarded wine to date. Alto Cabernet Sauvignon has complexity and great structure on the palate. The tannins are dense, yet relaxed with a good, dry grip and a long, lingering finish.
Alto Shiraz
We have been producing a single varietal Shiraz for over 50 years. Our Alto Shiraz is known for his perfect combination of fruit, smoke and spice. The 2019 vintage showcases each of these elements with balance and elegant tannins. A beautiful wine to enjoy alongside any red meat dish.
Alto Estate Blend
Our flagship wine, Alto Estate Blend is made up of the 3 most celebrated varieties on our estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc. A rich and complex red wine showcasing our terroir of excellence as well as our winemaker’s pristine craftmanship. Ready to enjoy now but will age beautifully over the next 10 to 15 years.
