As we enter this month of love, we are reminded of the enduring story of our founding owners, Laurens and Ansela. It is a tale that keeps on captivating more than three centuries after they planted the first crops on the farm. Their legacy of perseverance, hard work and faith against all odds, inspires us to actively build a future on Muratie that is just for all our people and environment.
Latest news: Harvest 2024 is in full swing
Harvest is in full swing with several white grape varieties already fermenting away and filling the cellar with heavenly aromas.
We have welcomed a new assistant winemaker, Ruan Papendorf, fresh from his studies at Stellenbosch University and eager to get stuck into his new role.
In between the bustling picking and pressing of grapes, our winemakers are also bottling and assembling new blends to be released shortly.
Upcoming events at Muratie Wine Estate
We had a lot of fun at the recent Harvest Parade in Stellenbosch to mark the annual start to the new season. Nothing captures the joy and festive spirit of parstyd in the Winelands quite like this colourful parade of singing and dancing locals.

Save the date for our own Muratie Harvest Festival coming up on 16 and 17 March 2024. As always it will be an immersive experience for visitors with grape stomping, tractor rides, historic walk, lots of great food and stirring music.
