Exciting highlights were reached at the stylish 33rd Veritas Awards, featuring another record number of medals to both well-known brands and novices, while the Duimpie Bayly Vertex Trophy for the best wine entered was clinched by the 2019 Benguela Cove Joie de Vivre Cap Classique. The results were received to resounding applause at the gala dinner on Friday 13 October 2023 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), where 81 Double Gold and 179 Gold awards in total were handed out.
