Nkonzo Wildlife, in collaboration with Seven Springs Vineyard and WineCompany, launches a ground-breaking fundraising rhino conservation wine label.

Nkonzo Wildlife, in collaboration with Seven Springs Vineyards and WineCompany, is proud to announce the launch of a ground-breaking fundraising Southern white rhinoceros conservation wine label, part of the Seven Springs Art Series. Proceeds from every bottle sold will be dedicated to the Nkonzo Wildlife Rhino Research Project, marking a significant step towards the preservation of these magnificent creatures.

These gentle giants are teetering on the brink of extinction due to the insatiable demand for their horns on the illegal black market. The rhino crisis is not only a national issue but a global catastrophe, demanding our immediate attention and collective action.

The Nkonzo Wildlife Rhino Research Project

Nkonzo Wildlife, situated in the Cape Floristic Region of South Africa, has been at the forefront of  regional conservation management, behavioural ecology, and human-wildlife coexistence. Their  dedicated work seeks to secure the future of Southern white rhinoceros populations by  understanding their behaviour, habitats, and interactions with local communities. However, their efforts require support from compassionate individuals and organisations worldwide.

Seven Springs Vineyards and WineCompany joining forces for conservation

In true collaboration, Seven Springs Vineyards and WineCompany has partnered with Nkonzo Wildlife to create the Nkonzo Wildlife Conservation Wine Label: Seven Springs Art Series Pinot Noir. With each bottle purchased of this limited-edition wine series, you are not only savouring excellent South African wines but also contributing directly to Southern white rhinoceros conservation efforts.

Art meets conservation

As part of this initiative, we called upon creative artists and design specialists to participate in a  competition to create artwork that embodies the spirit of the Southern White Rhinoceros. The winning artwork is talented young South African artist Izhaan Joubert is featured on the Seven Springs Art Series Pinot Noir label, encapsulating the essence of our commitment to these magnificent creatures and the urgent need to save them from the brink of extinction.
