Boschendal
The new Boschendal Learning Hub is an inclusive space for learning that embodies the collaborative vision of our working farm.

At Boschendal, we’re always on the lookout for inspiring and exciting new ways to bring people together and encourage innovation, collaboration, and education.

Our goal was an inclusive space for learning that embodies and celebrates the collaborative vision of our working farm. This is how our new Learning Hub came to life, driven by the inspirational efforts of Ronethea Daniels, head of learning and development, and her motivated team.

First of its kind in our valley

At our new Learning Hub, it doesn’t matter whether participants are staff members, students, or members of our wider community. The Boschendal Learning Hub is a place where people can come together for a common purpose, to develop relationships and learn through active participation, observation, and listening.

Providing new opportunities to grow

We’re doing so much more than just rearranging furniture and adding WiFi. Our Learning Hub provides our community with a place for coaching, discussion, experimenting with new ideas, and working towards our goal of creating opportunities for deeper understanding and experiences.

Our Learning Hub is a modern and multipurpose space promoting:

  •  Practical skills development
  • Soft Skills and Emotional Intelligence development
  • e-Learning and online programmes
  • Practical Learning spaces for hospitality and farming
  • Community Programmes
  • Learnerships for Accommodation Services
  • Food and Beverage Services
  • First Aid and Fire Fighting to assist local communities

Rooms for an elevated education

Participants of the Learning Hub can enjoy inspiring collaborative spaces complete with comfortable furnishings and a wide variety of resources to assist them with computer literacy, operational standards, interview skills and more.

Our technology-rich learning environments offer:

  • Meeting rooms and break away facilities
  • Access to computers and WiFi
  • An in-room hospitality training set up
  • A model garden for farm training
  • Accreditation and training opportunities
