Easter picnic at Steenberg

Easter is a magical time at Steenberg in the Constantia Valley, with the mauve salvia in full bloom, the oak leaves falling, and the vines changing to a golden hue as they prepare for winter dormancy. The Steenberg team has made Easter especially memorable this year with an Easter-inspired picnic for the whole family to enjoy on the lawns at Tryn. In your picnic basket will be homemade hot cross buns, anti pasti, a pulled lamb pocket, pickled fish with avo and cream cheese, crispy phyllo baskets, seasonal fresh fruit, Easter sweets, a bottle of Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay Cap Classique, and a bottle of mineral water.

Eikendal's Easter egg hunt

Hop on over to Eikendal Vineyards with your kids for an adventurous Easter egg hunt on Sunday morning. Any-bunny under the age of 13 years can join the hour-long adventure where kids will be divided into groups and given clues to help them find the Easter eggs. There will even be a visit from the Easter Bunny! Afterwards, reward your kids with lunch at Giovanni's Eikendal or a kiddies tasting at the tasting room while you enjoy a glass of wine.

Easter wonderland scavenger hunt at Spier

On Easter Sunday, adventurous kids between the ages of 3 and 12 are called to put their detective caps on and search for hidden Easter clues at different spots on Spier Wine Farm. Using a map to guide them, the kids will gather all five clues before exchanging them for an Easter surprise. Adults can use the time to search for their favourite Spier wine, served at several wine tasting stations along the scavenger hunt route.

Easter trail run at Knorhoek Wine Farm

End the Easter weekend on forest singletrack with the Easter Trail Run at Knorhoek Wine Farm, hosted by Dirtopia. This trail run's singletrack routes pass through forest and various other terrain in the Knorhoek Valley below the Simonsberg Mountain. Runners can choose between two routes: 5.5 km and 11 km.
