Neethlingshof
Celebrate early autumn days starting with breakfast and drifting into an al fresco lunch and wine tasting surrounded by Neethlinghof's tranquil vineyards.

Draw the day into the evening with Wine Down Wednesdays and enjoy local musical talent with our top wines.

Wine of the month - Jackal Dance

Our Jackal’s Dance wine is a tribute to the history of Neethlingshof’s name which was De Wolvendans (The Dance of Wolves) until the late 1820s, named by our first owner who mistook jackals for wolves.

The single vineyard was planted facing the ocean, so the grapes are cooled by the evening sea breeze and kissed by the mist, giving the vines time to rest at night and the grapes time to develop phenolic ripeness while keeping their natural acidity.

Only the vine's prime grapes are picked to guarantee the best fruit is used in the making of the wine. A full mouthfeel with great fruit concentration, flavours of pear, lemon curd, passion fruit and mango.

Sip Summer with a duo vintage pack our Jackals 2021 and 2022 for only R235, normal price R270. Available at the Wine Shop while stock last.

The harvest season - a word from our winemaker

We are now fully immersed in the rhythm of the harvest season with the grapes ripening and begging to be brought into the cellar and made into the high quality wines Neethlingshof is known for. The harvesting of our Sauvignon Blanc vineyards has meant many early mornings to ensure the outside temperature is at its coolest and will thus preserve the delicate flavours of the grapes.

The Gewürztraminer was harvested first and proved to be a treat as always as the cellar was blessed with the lovely aromas of roses and litchi during its making. Our Pinotage was next, with harvesting starting around Valentine’s day, which is the perfect timing for this sumptuous home grown grape of South Africa. We suggest keeping an eye out for our Pinotage in the future as it is a wine we are especially excited about.

Cheers from the winemaker, De Wet Viljoen

SALT Deli at Neethlingshof

The SALT Deli at Neethlingshof is found in the historical Manor House overlooking the breathtaking mountain range surrounding the Cape Winelands.

SALT Deli is a celebration of salt and the almost magical way it reacts with food and brings intensified and surprising flavour to anything it touches.

The talented duo behind this unique culinary creation, Craig Cormack and Beau du Toit, take guests on a journey through the wonders of salt and the spark it brings to their cooking. Together, they have designed dishes around our award-winning Neethlingshof wines, crafting a culinary symphony for you to enjoy.

Open for breakfast and lunch.
