"Initially, harvesting was off to a slow start with some blocks looking a bit delayed but the very warm weather in late January accelerated the ripening process resulting in all the white varieties peaking within two weeks. The cooler evenings benefited the grapes with the fruit looking fantastic and showing great acidity and freshness. The rain earlier this week has helped slow the ripening of the red varieties slightly. We are monitoring the vineyards now and expect to start harvesting the reds next week. At this stage given the current weather conditions, we expect to complete the 2023 harvest very early compared to previous years."

Zevenwacht 7even Pinotage 2021 is fruit-forward, showing ripe plum and dark cherry complimented with dark chocolate and coffee aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with plush fruit and a smooth finish.
