Cape Wine Academy celebrates the graduation of 15 students who successfully completed the challenging third-level Diploma Wine Course.

This is the biggest group of Cape Wine Academy (CWA) graduates in recent years with an impressive mix of wine industry professionals and serious wine enthusiasts amongst the candidates. We congratulate the class of 2021 as follows:

The Diploma Wine Course is the culmination of four intensive study modules and an advanced wine tasting examination covering global wine regions, viticulture and winemaking. This is the first group of students who studied the course via the new blended learning platform where theory lectures are hosted online and feature international experts from the country being presented. Each module further involves a high level tasting seminar hosted in the winelands and is completed by various assignments, a three hour theory exam.

Candidates who achieve a minimum of 60% for each of the Diploma theory and tasting exams are eligible to further their studies through the Cape Wine Master programme.
