The Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) develops talented, previously disadvantaged 18-25-year-old youth for employment in demand led sectors. Our innovative programmes combine personal development skills with industry-specific vocational training and practical work experience. PYDA graduates – now 436 in number – are a new generation of young wine professionals who have a big picture view, grow fast in their careers and are making a difference in their communities. The Academy has successfully implemented this programme in the Wine, Wine Marketing, Fast Moving Consumer Goods Manufacturing and Digital Marketing Sectors.
The Academy’s programmes are holistic and integrated by design to ultimately achieve sustainable change. The personal development aspect of the programmes is our unique selling point and the differentiator. It is our belief, proven now with track record, that emotional intelligence results from this focus and deliver responsible young professionals who are able to grow fast in their careers.
Our Wine and Marketing Class of 2021 will be graduating on 29 October 2021 and it is against this background that we are reaching out to request wine donations for this special occasion to celebrate their success.
The value of what we specifically deliver is the immediate impact on a largely unemployed generation, with an equal and immediate impact on enhancing the industries we work within by giving it access to a new generation of young professionals.
