No such tastings could be held last year due to the Covid regulations, but the Veritas organisers are now planning several events where the winners can be tasted within the next two months. This follows the country’s Covid regulations being relaxed.
The first tasting, where all 200 winning wines and brandies will be presented, will take place on Tuesday 20 April 2021 – in L’Atrium at the Grand Roche Hotel in Paarl and all protocols under the Covid regulations will be in place. The tasting will be held at 18:00 - 21:00 and tickets can be bought on the Quicket website at R200 a person, including an elegant wine tasting glass. Well-known cheese producers from Paarl– Fairview and Anura –will have some of their award-winning cheeses to taste at the wine tasting. The dates of other similar tastings will be announced shortly.
This will be an ideal opportunity for wine lovers to also download the Veritas APP to be able to order their favourite wines and brandies. The VinoVeritas by CTP application was launched last year in November at the Veritas awards function and is the only one of its kind where consumers can order the wines or brandies directly with their mobile phones to be delivered by Getwine at their doorstep countrywide.
Veritas prides itself in being the consumer and wine industry’s foremost competition to judge the country’s best wines and brandies and carry them out to the public for 30 years already.
