Stellenrust Wine Estate
These measures are aimed to support and drive social distancing and good hygiene practices to support the drive of limiting the spread of COVID-19.
1. We will suspend all wine tastings with immediate effect until 14 April 2020. Our tasting room door will still be open for sales and dry wine tastings where informed personnel will take you through our wines and explain them in detail without physically tasting it. Congregation of groups of people will be prohibited instating a 2 meter distance between people.
2. All booked picnics and platters will be done in disposable packaging with disposable cutlery and wine tasting glasses. No new booking will be accepted until further notice. We urge clients to postpone their visits and picnics without any penalty fees.
3. All booked events and functions up to 31 May 2020 have the option of free cancellation or postponement to a new suitable and available date. Deposits will be paid back.
a. Functions of 100 or more people are forced by law to postpone
b. We strongly urge functions of less than 100 people to postpone or cancel their events in light of our health and safety protocols.
4. The cellar at Swartrivier farm is closed for tours or visits by any company representatives with immediate effect. Communication with winemakers and relevant personnel can be done via phone or emails but direct contact is prohibited.
5. The following protocol for any visitors and delivery personnel to Stellenrust and Swartrivier
a. Sign in required with history of contact and travel affected by the novel Corona virus
b. Sanitization of hands after sign in before entry to any of our premises
6. Production and deliveries of our wines are going ahead unaffected. We will closely monitor the advice and recommendations from expert health organizations, act accordingly and keep you informed.
