As part of the Pinotage Month celebrations the Pinotage Association has launched the inaugural Pinotage Boland Biltong Competition.
The aim competition is to create awareness for Pinotage Month and to determine the best beef biltong in the Boland via an online voting platform hosted on the www.pinotage.co.za website.
Six finalist butcheries were chosen as members nominated one butchery from their respective regions.
The finalists are from Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington, Worcester , Robertson and the Swartland regions and voting starts on 2 October 2019 on this page - https://www.pinotage.co.za/pinotage-boland-biltong-competition/
The winning Butchery will win a set of the 2019 Absa Top 10 Pinotage wines and one lucky voter will also win a case of Pinotage at the end of this campaign.
Taste the biltong finalists at The Grootplaas Proe

Stellenbosch – Eikeboom Butchery
Paarl – Goede Hoop Butchery
Wellington – Vleismeester Butchery
Worcester – Hoogstraat Vleismark
Robertson – Pinto Butchery
Swartland – Deli-Co Butchery ( Riebeek – Kasteel)
Wine and food lovers are encouraged to celebrate #PinotageDay on 12 October 2019 with a biltong snack and a glass or two of uniquely South African wine.
