Summer time calls for a crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc and TOKARA’s new 2019 vintage is sure to hit the spot.

TOKARA produces two outstanding Sauvignon Blancs from diverse vineyard sites in Elgin and Stellenbosch. “These two wines showcase regional variation quite remarkably. On the one hand the Reserve Collection Sauvignon Blanc from Elgin is a beacon of all things cool-climate, with fresh aromas of gooseberry, lime peel and blackcurrant leaf while the Sauvignon Blanc from our premium collection is brimming with more tropical fruits,” says winemaker Stuart Botha.

“This is a pair of incredible wines that authentically showcase their origins. One quite serious and the other more playful - both delicious,” he adds. The just released TOKARA Sauvignon Blanc 2019 is a blend of fruit from prime TOKARA vineyards in Stellenbosch and Elgin representing an intriguing spectrum of the Sauvignon Blanc flavour profile.

“Heady notes of passion fruit and guava, embraced by cooler notes of lemongrass and green melon,” is how Botha describes this vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, adding that a slight oyster shell salinity makes it quite moreish.

This is the perfect Sauvignon Blanc for a hot summer’s day on its own or with grilled chicken, fishand fresh oysters.

TOKARA Sauvignon Blanc 2019 is available at leading wine outlets countrywide and sells online or at the cellar door at R90 a bottle. For more information visit www.tokara.com.
