Celebrate springwith the vibrancy and freshness of Steenberg 1682 Brut Chardonnay MCC.

This richly layered Blanc de Blancs is an elegant Méthode Cap Classique crafted in the time honoured French tradition of secondary bottle fermentation that gives rise to its fine mousse and finesse.

“Blanc de Blancs is without a doubt the most exciting Cap Classique category right now. It has been such a pleasure to have had a small hand in the finishing touches of this bubbly,” says Cellar Master Elunda Basson who joined Steenberg earlier this year.

Her passion and expertise for Blanc de Blancs are widely acknowledged, especially after one of her bubblies was crowned overall champion wine at the 2018 Veritas Awards.

“It has been very exciting to have been able to blend the different components from the 2019 vintage but we will need to wait patiently for up to 18 months to allow the new bubbly to develop its full potential on the yeast lees,” explains Basson.

Steenberg’s current Brut Chardonnay MCC allures with Granny Smith apple, candied lemon rind and white peach wafting from your flute. The palate is lively with zesty acidity layered with lemon cordial, honeyed nectarines, toasted croissant and pistachio. With the mark of quality of the iconic Steenberg swan embossed on the bottle, this is a full-flavoured Cap Classique of considerable stature.

“Our Brut Chardonnay MCC exudes freshness and fruit purity with great finesse and complexity. It’s the perfect way to celebrate spring,” adds Basson.

Steenberg 1682 Brut Chardonnay MCC is available at leading outlets country-wide and sells at the cellar door for R205 a bottle. For more information or online purchases, visit www.steenbergfarm.com or join the conversation on Twitter @SteenbergWines or @SteenbergFarm on Facebook and Instagram.
