The Pebbles Project must be one of the most active NGOs in the country. I was lucky enough to be in the Hemel en Aarde Valley last week, and it happened to be the first day of school, so thought it would be opportune to pop in to see their newest school project. The facility was originally an ECD (Early Childhood Development) Centre & After School Club, but with a few passionate people driving the project, the facility has grown to include a Primary School, thanks to the incredible support from Rotary Hermanus, Rotary worldwide and Creation Wines. - Judy Brower.
A visit to Creation Winery at the top of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley used to be an arduous trip up a long gravel road, but these days with the immaculate tarred road, it is a relatively quick drive up through the valley which is fast becoming known as the Home of Pinot Noir. Look out for their Pinot Noir Celebration held in January.
The wine.co.za team had fun on Saturday at the last chance to put their taste buds to the test to make the final cut for the 2019 South African Wine Tasting Championships.
