A Magic Tasting for Shiraz Lovers

Institute of Cape Wine Masters
Shiraz Lovers will soon be treated to the magic of Syrah at two exclusive Institute of Cape Wine Master Syrah tastings! Dr Andy Roediger is the chairperson of the Shiraz SA Challenge and will be presenting two special tastings with the help of a panel of experts on the topic: “Where do we stand with South African Shiraz – as seen in a global context?”

As a Shiraz expert, respected wine judge and Cape Wine Master, Andy is exceptionally fervent about Syrah (did you know that the word translates to “Princess” in Arabic?) and he will be illustrating his worldly insights with a specially selected line-up of unique wines, carefully sourced by him from across continents.

Wines from South Africa will be tasted against New Zealand, Australia and the Rhône Valley and everyone is most welcome.

The tastings will be held on 10 October 2018 at Groot Constantia and 25 October 2018 at the Spier Tasting room.

Starting time is 18:00/18:30 for both tastings. The cost is R450 (Groot Constantia) and R400 (Spier).
The price includes a light snack/canapé.

Bookings can be done with the secretary of the Institute of Cape Wine Masters at info@icwm.co.za by 28 September 2018.
