Representatives of SA wineries have flocked to Düsseldorf, Germany to showcase our world-class wines at ProWein, the world's leading trade fair for wine and spirits. We've put together some pictures to see what's happening in Hall 9B...

It's been a warm welcome in Düsseldorf despite the -2 °C weather.

Highlights have included a visit from the South African Ambassador to Germany, H.E Sizani to the WOSA exhibitors:

A special tasting area, open from 11h00 - 16h00 daily is showcasing a small selection of the best wines produced in South Africa. Five pods (one for Cap Classique, two for whites and two for reds) were selected using a matrix which covered 6 international and local competitions and ratings to identify some of the top-awarded wines from South Africa.

The MCC pod is a hit with a selection of 15 South African Cap Classiques.

The Pinotage Association is proudly representing our unique South African varietal.

There is always time for a laugh.

Pieter Ferreira isn't just a master of bubbly but also has excellent photobombing skills. Mike Ratcliffe from Warwick Estate tweeted:

Farmer Mike™‏ @mikeratcliffe

An exciting day presenting the NEW @WarwickWine ‘Professor Black’ to the world in Germany - and then some clown photobombs my carefully posed picture.

Good to see some of our favourite faces (and bottles) there:

Kevin Arnold and Lynsey Barnes from Waterford Estate. Diemersfontein showcasing their Carpe Diem range and Suzanne representing Tokara.

Our favourite rascal, Ross Sleet from Rascallion Wines is hard at work and the Franschhoek Wine Valley is well represented with Leopard's Leap and La Motte Wines showing neighbourly love in Germany.
