Farms that are interested in offering quality education, sports and life skills activities to their farm worker’s children will be required to provide a suitable venue from which the after-school can operate. There is a monthly fee which includes on-going training for the farm/community member selected to facilitate the programme in the afternoons. Please contact carolyn@annafoundation.com or call +27.218851922 for further details.
The Anna Foundation's professionally-designed "3 R's Programme: Reading, Running, Right-ing" aims to meet the holistic needs of rural children and has been designed by educational specialists (literacy and numeracy programme), a drama therapist and drama play specialist (life skills programme) and persons with specialisation in Human Movement Studies (sports programme). Through the implementation of the 3 R's Programme, the Anna Foundation offers life-long learning to build positive self-worth and self-respect. In addition to the focus on children, women from the farming communities are trained to facilitate the running of the programme. They receive on-going, monthly skills training as well as one on one training from the Project Manager.
