Higgo will also be responsible for the Events portfolio.
David Clarke was re-elected as Vice-Chairman and will look after the Johannesburg portfolio in order to help SASA grow in the north.
Neil Grant will remain on the board as Treasurer and Cellarmaster, as SASA is starting to build their own wine cellar for education purposes.
Joakim Hansi Blackadder will be at the helm of Education and will build on the success of the SASA Foundation Sommeliere course which was launched end of last year.
Jean-Vincent Ridon is responsible for Communication and Social Media as well as a supportive role for Education.
New board member Pearl Oliver, now based at the Taj Hotel will look after the WOSA Sommelier World Cup, which will take place later this year and will also be in a supportive role for Johannesburg.
