Pebbles Project
Tim's Climbing Mount Ararat.

I am climbing Mount Ararat (all 5,137m of it) for Pebbles Project because I want to raise money for a vital charity in SA

In one of my rasher moments, I have agreed to climb Mount Ararat in Turkey this summer with a winemaking friend. It was only when I saw a website entitled "47 reasons not to climb Mount Ararat" that I realised what I'd taken on. So it's lots of work in the gym for me, walking up a steep incline with weights in both hands. Climbing the mountain (all 5,137m of it) is something I've always wanted to do, partly because of the "link" with Noah's ark and the "first" vineyard. I also thought it would be a great opportunity to raise money for Pebbles, a fantastic South African charity which helps disadvantaged children on wine farms in the Cape.

You can read more about Pebbles' fantastic work here. And if you'd like to sponsor me, I'd be thrilled. This is my Just Giving page.

About Pebbles:

Pebbles Project enriches the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds with special educational needs, especially those whose lives are affected by alcohol, through providing support and training to local wine farm and township creches and establishing after-school provision for older children living in the Winelands area of the Western Cape in South Africa.
