Allée Bleue, a renowned wine estate in the Franschhoek Valley, is proud to announce its outstanding performance at the MUNDUS VINI Spring Tasting 2025, a prestigious wine competition in Germany. The estate's Black Series wine range earned an impressive three gold medals, solidifying its position as a producer of exceptional, world-class wines.
The gold medal-winning wines are:
- Isabeau Chardonnay 2022: A flagship wine produced from a 35-year-old vineyard on the estate, showcasing a generous, layered, and sophisticated Chardonnay profile, matured in amphora and large French oak barrels.
- L'Amour Toujours 2019: The estate's other flagship wine, a Cabernet Franc- based Bordeaux-styled blend sourced from high-altitude Banhoek (Stellenbosch) vineyards. The name "L'Amour Toujours" translates to "love forever" in French, reflecting the wine's timeless elegance.
- Single Vineyard Syrah 2022: A unique wine produced from a vineyard surrounded by lemon orchards, which has isolated it from leafroll virus. The vineyard's cobblestone soils, formed by the convergence of the Dwarsriver and Bergriver on the Allee Bleue estate, contribute to the wine's distinct character.
"These gold medals are a testament to the unwavering commitment to quality and excellence that drives our winemaking philosophy,"said Van Zyl du Toit, winemaker at Allée Bleue."Our Black Series wines are crafted to showcase the unique nuances of our estate's terroir, and to stand alongside the world's finest wines. We're proud to see our wines resonating with judges and wine enthusiasts globally."
