Alan Marquard's prestigious career in law has included taking a case to the US Supreme Court and being the general counsel of a globally systemically important financial market infrastructure, and his business achievements include having globally lead Mastercard’s money transfer businesses. He currently serves as a Mastercard Fellow, advising on the future of payments and payment infrastructure. However, Alan’s true love is wine, a passion since starting to study and collect while a student in Cape Town. He holds the DipWSET (Merit) qualification and is always talking about, tasting or pairing wines. To dilute his wine obsession, he is currently studying sake at WSET.
