Grape growers, wineries take promotion to new level

Mendocino County grape growers and vintners have agreed to form a state-regulated agricultural commission through which they will raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to promote Mendocino County grapes and wines.
If successful, the measure could raise upwards of $700,000 for promotional efforts for local grapes and wines. The money would be raised through mandatory fees, or assessments, paid by growers and wineries based on the amount of grapes or wine produced. Read more at: The Ukiah Daily Journal
