A hundred and fifty South African Chardonnays were tasted and Weltevrede had the honour of being selected to represent South Africa in the air. Winemaker Philip Jonker, a Chardonnay champion, is on cloud nine. Numerous times his Chardonnays have proved themselves in competitions, reinforcing that this ancient and noble variety is his specialty. More good news is that Weltevrede Tricolore Sauvignon Blanc/ Semillon/ Colombard was selected by WINE Magazine's Value for Money Award.
