The members of the DGB (Pty) Ltd team congratulate their colleague Wine Public Relations Officer, Heidi Rosenthal, on her recent Cape Wine Masters qualification.
Heidi, whose thesis was entitled ‘Modern ecological wine grape production in South Africa’, has been part of the DGB PR team for six years, providing support to sales and marketing, consulting on wine lists, presenting corporate, public and trade tastings and co-ordinating wine shows.
She originally qualified at the Technikon Witwatersrand Hotel School and is still involved with wine training requirements in the hospitality and related industries.
"As a Jo’burg girl, I decided I needed to build some official credibility into my wine knowledge and so embarked on the Cape Wine Masters qualification," says Heidi. "It is very pleasing to have achieved it but I think that learning about wine is a journey that never ends, and one which I am happy to continue."
