'All those different grapes' individual flavours come into play for a unique taste burst'
Made famous by Jancis Robinson in the UK, Flagstone Noon Gun has now sparked a buying frenzy in Canada.

Canadian wine writer, Jurgen Gothe, writes:

‘Noon Gun has to be the most appealing South African white wine on our shelves right now. This is a simply sensational sipping wine. The balance is wonderful. All those different grapes' individual flavours come into play for a unique taste burst. You'll be sipping this on the deck and wondering why you didn't get two cases. I plan to. You must taste this one now, while it's around. Who knows how much came in and when there will be more’.

- Jurgen Gothe, March 4th 2004

1999 saw the first vintage of Flagstone Noon Gun. By 2002 we had settled on the exact vineyards we wanted to use in constructing this multi-varietal blend - something of a recent fashion we have noticed. It may be of interest to note that the 2002 vintage was the second highest rated white blend at the Fairburn Capital Trophy wine show, just beaten by the Vergelegen white, somewhat more expensive.

Noon Gun retails in South Africa for about R28.50 and is available direct from the winery or all good wine shops.
